Veterans Benefits are Available ….

Wartime veterans or their surviving spouses may be eligible to receive up to $2000 per month to help defray the cost or assisted living through the Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit.  This pension is unrelated to any disability pension.  Veterans must have served at least 90 days and served at least 1 day during the wartime dates below, but not necessarily in combat.  For more information about VA assistance you may locate your Regional Veteran’s Affairs office by calling (800) 827-1000.

  • World War I:  05/09/1916 – 11/11/1918
  • World War II:  12/07/1941 – 12/31/1946
  • Korean War:  06/27/1950 – 01/31/1955
  • Vietnam War:  08/05/1964 – 05/07/1975
  • Gulf War:  08/02/1990 – Undetermined

  • Veteran with a spouse or child                  $25,020
  • Surviving Spouse                                             $13,560

 

**Veteran of their surviving spouse must be at least 65 or officially disabled if younger
